GENERAL MACHINE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUTLERY SHARPENING SYSTEM
WARNING: Read and understand all contents of this instruction before using the machine. The user manual should always be kept handy in the place of use.
1. THE MACHINE SHOULD ONLY BE USED BY INDIVIDUALS FAMILIAR WITH ITS OPERATION AND ABLE TO IDENTIFY POSSIBLE DANGERS DURING WORK.
2. DO NOT USE THE MACHINE FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN ITS DESIGN.
3. Protective covers must be kept in place and functional.
4. REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENDED STARTUP. Ensure the switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging in. (Pressing the "O" side of the switch indicates the "Off" position. Pressing the "I" side indicates the "On" position.)
5. MAINTAIN THE MACHINE. Keep the machine properly adjusted and clean for optimal and safe performance.
6. DISCONNECT THE DEVICE FROM POWER BEFORE SERVICING OR CHANGING ACCESSORIES.
7. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES. Refer to the "Spare Parts" section of this manual for recommended accessories, abrasives, and replacement parts. Improper use of accessories may cause injury.
8. MACHINE DAMAGE. Any damaged part should be thoroughly checked to ensure it will operate correctly and safely perform its function. Check alignment of moving parts, connection of moving parts, damaged parts, and any conditions that may affect operation. Any damaged part should be appropriately repaired or replaced.
9. NEVER LEAVE THE MACHINE RUNNING UNATTENDED.
10. Wear appropriate attire. Loose clothing, ties, rings, bracelets, or other jewelry may become entangled in moving parts. Slip-resistant footwear is recommended. Wear protective headgear for long hair.
11. ALWAYS USE APPROVED PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND SAFETY GLASSES. Safety glasses should have side shields. Gloves should fit properly.
12. DO NOT USE IN HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS. Do not use the machine in wet or damp areas exposed to water. The workspace should be well-lit.
13. DO NOT OVERREACH. Maintain proper balance and footing at all times while using the machine.
