Industrial catering blenders are specialized devices designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. They differ from household models by their higher motor power (from 300W to 3000W), durable construction, and ability to operate continuously for several hours a day. They feature a steel or polyamide housing, silicone seals, and motors with forced ventilation for effective heat dissipation.
The main applications include preparing emulsions, sauces, cream soups, smoothies, cocktails, and chopping ingredients of various consistencies. In professional catering, industrial blenders allow for fast processing of large quantities of products while maintaining a uniform texture of the final result.
We distinguish 2 main categories of catering blenders in our offer:
- Hand blenders (immersion blenders) – devices with a power of 200–800W and an interchangeable cutting head. The head diameter ranges from 60mm to 120mm. The shaft length is typically 200–600mm, allowing work in containers up to 50cm deep. Equipped with speed regulators (usually 2–5 levels) and a turbo function. Ideal for preparing sauces, soups directly in pots, and emulsifying small portions of ingredients.
- Jug blenders (stationary) – constructed with a base motor and a container with a capacity of 1–6 liters. Motor power ranges from 500W to 3000W, with speeds of 10,000–40,000 rpm. The jug is made of Tritan, polycarbonate, or tempered glass. Equipped with automatic programs and adjustable speed. They enable preparation of larger batches without constant operator supervision.
Technical specifications and key parameters
Motor power is the primary parameter influencing the performance of the device. Hand blenders with 300–500W are suitable for basic mixing and emulsifying tasks. Models with 600–800W handle harder ingredients and intensive use. Jug blenders require at least 800W to efficiently crush ice and process tough ingredients.
Construction materials directly affect the durability of the device. Stainless steel AISI 304 housings ensure corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. Cutting heads made of stainless steel or titanium remain sharp over long periods of use. Food-grade silicone seals withstand temperatures from -40°C to +200°C.
Safety system includes safety switches preventing operation when improperly assembled, motor overheating protection, and a soft-start function reducing start-up torque. CE certification and compliance with EN 60335 standards ensure safe operation.
Selection criteria and practical application
The choice of the right model depends on the specifics of the catering establishment. For intensive use (creperies, smoothie bars), a jug blender with at least 1200W and continuous operation capability is essential. For restaurants preparing sauces and soups, a 500–700W hand blender is sufficient.
Working capacity should match the production size. Hand blenders work effectively in containers up to 20 liters. Jug blenders with a 2–3 liter capacity are suitable for preparing portions for 10–15 people.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the heads after each use, checking seals, and lubricating bearings according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The standard warranty period for industrial blenders is 24 months under proper use.
