The grinding stone should be immersed in water for about 5 - 10 minutes before use. The stone is properly saturated as soon as air bubbles stop appearing.
It is recommended to moisten the stone with water when sharpening. Always use a stone with the included anti-skid pad.
Start the sharpening process from the orange side 360 (the thicker part of the stone). Make a pulling motion away from the body and then pull it back towards you. The knife should be held at an angle of about 15 ° and lightly pressed against the stone surface. Keep the angle of the stone knife steady throughout the sharpening process. Start at the end of the blade and repeat this process until you have fine scratches. For an extremely fine and sharp edge, repeat this process on the finer white side of the 1000 stone (whetstone). Finally, wipe the stone off and carefully clean the knife with a mild cleaning agent.
Grain 360 is suitable for grinding any unevenness or for sharpening.
Grain 1000 is suitable for sharpening and polishing (smoothing)
